Hi, I’m Oleksiy, a test analyst based in London who enjoys building small web tools in my spare time.

I created PlaceholderText.org because I wanted better placeholder text for my own design and development projects. Lorem Ipsum is useful, but sometimes you need text in different languages, with specific themes, or with more realistic context.

Today the site supports 60+ languages with native script support, including right-to-left languages, alongside a growing collection of themed generators. These range from practical styles like Corporate and Legal to more creative options like Fantasy and others.

The output is fully customizable. You can generate paragraphs, sentences, words, lists, or characters, and apply options such as HTML wrapping, case transformations, and export formats including JSON, XML, CSV, and Markdown.

Everything runs directly in your browser. No text is sent to a server, there is no sign-up, and there are no paywalls.

The site is built with Astro, React, and Tailwind CSS, with a focus on fast, lightweight pages.
