Custom Lorem Ipsum Generator

A Custom Ipsum generator lets you create placeholder text using your own words instead of the traditional Latin Lorem Ipsum. Just provide a list of words and the tool will generate realistic-looking dummy text — sentences, paragraphs, lists, and more — using only those words.

It's great for themed mockups and prototypes — for example, using industry-specific jargon to make a design feel more realistic, or using brand vocabulary in client presentations. You can also use it for testing typography, content density, and layout behaviour without relying on generic Latin text.

Type or paste your words into the Word List panel at the top. You can separate them with commas, semicolons, or new lines. Words are deduplicated automatically. You can also click individual word chips to remove them, or use the Shuffle, Reset, and Clear buttons to manage your list.

We include three quick-start presets: Nature (forest, river, mountain…), Tech (query, schema, token…), and Abstract (momentum, fracture, resonance…). Click any preset to load it instantly, then customise from there.

Sentences are automatically enhanced with natural-looking punctuation — mid-sentence commas, em-dashes for dramatic pauses, and occasional parenthetical asides. This makes the generated text feel far more realistic than plain word sequences.

You can copy as plain text, download as .txt, or export as JSON, XML, CSV, Markdown, or a full HTML file. There's also a Copy HTML Code option for developers who want ready-to-paste markup.

Yes — the Settings panel gives you full control. Choose between paragraphs, sentences, words, lists, or a character count. Adjust sentence length (short, medium, long, mixed, or custom word range), number of paragraphs or sentences, list style, and text case transformations.

Yes. Your word list and all settings are saved automatically in your browser's local storage, so they'll still be there next time you visit. Nothing is sent to a server.
